This is Tetra, she’s one of the main characters for a book I’m currently writing called Fractured Flames. This is her ref sheet because she desperately needs one lol, hope you like her!

I got a new sketchbook yesterday and I’ve been very invested in it. I love drawing bones a lot, actually; they’re very intricate and delicate appearance-wise, but still within my skill set, so I get a ton of joy when I do them right. Anyways, these are traditional, obviously. But for materials I just use a regular .7 mechanical pencil, Crayola colored pencils for color, and Micron liner pens (sizes 08 and 05, but I have a 03 as well) So yeah. Here ya go!

I’ve been rereading powerless, and these are the two main characters, Kai (black hair) and Paedyn (silver hair). I wanted to practice lighting and I adore drawing them, so I figured I’d do both. Two birds one stone, right? So yeah. Here’s some pretty lighting in a poppy field that totally isn’t a blurred stock image *hides face* Enjoy!

I was messing around with a different style of drawing people, as well as using pen. I usually stick to pencil for the sake of my sanity, since I like to erase and refine my art for traditional stuff, but when I manage to do it well I love pen a lot actually. These are just random characters by the way; the curly-haired one will be back, but I’m not sure about the split-dye girl. Neither of them have names, either. I need to figure that out still. But yeah! I hope you like them, the anatomy is a bit off but they’re still cool. Another thing, the scribble is covering my signature, because PrIvAcY exists and I was an idiot who forgot to add it after I posted it. *facepalms* Anyway, enjoy my art.

Following the Wings of Fire stuff, I wanted to test a brush on Procreate and this is what came of it. The brush is the default Peppermint brush in the sketching category (classic library) and this is a headshot of Queen Ruby from WoF. She’s really pretty, and I think I did her justice despite not remembering her character much. So yeah! I hope you like her. I have some more designs of the Dragonets of Destiny in a bit; they’ll look a lot like Glory’s in layout, but each will be unique cuz character design is really fun.

I felt like drawing more dragons, so here’s my design for Glory from Wings of Fire! I really love how it turned out. She’s a fun character to draw. It was kinda difficult to nail her down without crowding her design too much, though.

I made this yesterday; coral snakes are pretty, so I wanted to make a dragon based off of one. I used to be crazy into Wings of Fire (I still like it, I’m just not obsessed anymore) so I imagine this would be a hybrid of something—maybe a Skywing/Hivewing? But yeah, her name’s Velvette.

There’s also this one, her name’s Fawn. I saw a mood board and thought of her, she’s a silk/rain hybrid, so yeah. Here ya go!

If I can figure out how to change my profile picture, this is what it’ll be. I wanted to convey the “sophisticated” part of it (the glasses and top hat) while also giving it some semblance of myself. I hope you like it!

I made a new reference sheet for Evan, so now he’s got a more consistent design. This is his third update; he was primarily blue before, actually.

It kinda looks like crap with the quality, but I unearthed these in the depths of my Procreate library and thought they were cool.
The first one is a character of mine named Iris, she’s a contortionist (hence the crazy poses). The second is Evan again, lol- they’re earlier design concepts when I was testing out a new color palette and making some tweaks to how I draw him.
To be honest, putting a character in different positions is a great way to iron out a design, whether that be a redesign or a new character. It allows you to see them in more than one way, so it helps a lot. But yeah, enough nerding out.
