I’m Sophisticated Rat (a.k.a. Ratty) and I’m glad you found my corner of the internet.
I’m very creativity-driven, and this platform is where I get to share all of that with everyone else. Most of my work will be in a picture format, though some posts may just be me talking about things I like. A few of these are books, Dungeons and Dragons, art (obviously) and theater, such as my school play and singing.
To preface, I am not comfortable with my work being reposted or copied. You can take inspiration, for sure; my problem is with people who take art and claim it’s theirs. As long as you make it your own, you can absolutely gain ideas and sparks from what you see on here, but seeing as it is mine, I do not consent to my pieces being anywhere but here.
On a lighter note, I hope you stay to see my progress. I love to experiment with my art, so one day I might be practicing lighting, and the next it might be a simple sketch with a new brush I found. Also, as with anyone in a creative field, I’m learning, and will continue to learn as time goes on; nobody’s ever perfect. If something looks bad, it looks bad. My hope is just that I can grow and get better to fix that in the future.
To conclude, and I’ll keep this rather vague for the sake of privacy, I love reading and will use any excuse to talk about my books. Some of my favorites are the Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and more. My most recent obsession is The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni, but I’ll likely pick up something new very quickly. Other than books, I love to sing and I’ve been involved in a few small plays. I enjoy theater camps and I’m in the play at my school this year, so I’m excited to start progressing on that path alongside my art. If you’ve read this whole thing you might recall I mentioned Dungeons and Dragons, or D&D. That might get brought up a little bit in here, but that is also a hobby of mine. Also, a fair warning; I have ADHD, so rambles and tangents are going to be very common. You’re welcome to just look at the art, but if you really want to sit through it, you’re in for a long ride.
But yeah, that’s me! I look forward to seeing how far into this I can go, and I hope you all will stay for the journey.
